Ranthambore fort

Ranthambore fort

Located on a hill, the fort holds a bloody and brave history of the legendary Rajput tribe. Constructed in 994 AD, this fort encompasses massive gate, lofty walls, tanks and temples. The legend says that the fort was constructed as a token of gratitude to Lord Shiva. The Fort is located within the Ranthambore National Park near the town of Sawai Madhopor and the fort is also a part of the UNESCO world heritage site. The fort is probably the most visited spot in the National park.
