Western Australian Maritime Museum
Looking out over the majestic Indian Ocean, the Western Australian Museum - Maritime is symbolic of Fremantle’s past, present and future as a coastal town. The Museum houses six unique galleries, each focusing on a different aspect of Western Australia’s relationship with the sea.
From leisure boats and homemade vessels, handcrafted sailing boats to commercial pearl luggers the Western Australian Museum – Maritime inspires visitors to discover more about Western Australia’s affinity with the ocean.
The museum is also home to the winning America’s Cup yacht, Australia II, an Oberon class submarine, Jon Sanderson’s Parry Endeavour a number of iconic vessels from Western Australia’s maritime history.
